Nan Clayton PTA Expenditure Vision and Strategy
The Nan Clayton Elementary PTA provides at least two programs to Clayton Elementary School with every major fundraiser, according to Texas PTA recommendations. Together with school administrators, envisions that acquired funds are spent with the greatest return on investment to the school and its community.
Examples of expenditure categories include:
Classroom curriculum and technology
Teacher support
Campus improvements
School and community programs.
According to the Clayton PTA Standing Rules, each semester, an Expenditure Committee reviews the expenditures proposed by school administration, teachers, and the school community. The Expenditure Committee comprises existing Executive Board members, including the President, the Treasurer, a chair appointed by the President, and at least one other Executive Board member. Proposed expenditures are prioritized, and funds are allocated – as they are available – by Executive Board and general member vote.
The Clayton PTA Executive Board invites you to be an active PTA member and be part of the proposal and voting process. The Clayton PTA Executive Board also invites you to join the Executive Board to serve as a more consistent voice and participate in the expenditure prioritization process if appointed to the Expenditure Committee.
Vision and strategy were initially adopted by the PTA Executive Board in February each school year. School year specific content is updated annually.
